Custom Order – Large Alphabet Cushion

I love getting custom order requests as they’re often a chance to make something new, but I equally enjoy requests to make a variation of something I’m already selling, and that’s exactly what my most recent order was for.

If you’ve looked at my shop or social media, you might have noticed that I tend to make small decorative cushions, rather than standard sized ones. There’s something cute about the size that I just prefer, and I think they make a nice addition as an accent cushion. So it made a nice change when a customer requested a much larger version of one of my Alphabet Cushion’s (more than double the usual size).

Each cushion is hand painted in black with gold accents, and I have a set of templates that I use for both the cushion itself and the individual letters, so the only tricky part of the order was scaling both of those up without throwing off the proportions or balance of the cushion (because white space and alignment are everything).

Anyway, I think I’ve rambled on enough for now, so here’s a photo of the finished product - a sizeable half a meter cushion.

Peace & Love, Amy
