Not Perfect

There was a time when trips to London were a regular occurrence, and a life down South was a possibility - even for the short term - but I never made the leap, instead favouring the security and familiarity of ‘home’, and the offer of a stable job.

I sometimes wonder what life would have been like if I had made the move, but then I don’t think I had the balls to jump until now, but now I have a relatively settled and stable life, with a good job, a house I can call my own, my family and friends are close by, and I’m finally ready to put myself and my nearest and dearest first.

I don’t need anyone else in my life to make me happy. I have everything I could ever need, and that’s a refreshing feeling.

No more chasing my tail or treading water waiting for life to drown me and the current to pull me under. Life’s not perfect, but it’s mine and I’m grabbing it with both hands and treasuring every moment.
